ABOUT:

REMEDY

Something that corrects or counteracts.

WITH GRATITUDE

We are grateful for our adversities, for they create a certain hunger inside of us, they birth such a strong determination and tenacity, which propel us forward.

It is hard to believe that it is nearly ten years since the onset of the notion of this brand. Here we are years, airplanes, continents, miles and many lives later telling the world our story.

It’s a story about life, death, evolution and revolution. Words cannot express the amount of thanks we give to you today and to have the opportunity to share our story with you

Remedy is a premium denim brand focusing on 100% sustainable and circular jeans born from the autonomy of the streets of New York City to the soul of Bali. It is the creation of Joanne Krakowski whose personal journey battling cancer and heightened awareness towards the ailments of the state of the world sets the creation of Remedy in motion.

With reciprocity being the core of our brand, we are channeling a portion of proceeds from our denim sales towards funding and developing a grant-based wellness center for young adult’s post-cancer treatment, mirroring Joanne’s journey. We believe that giving back and paying it forward will teach these young cancer survivors to live bravely and to live their truth after their illnesses. To give them a space to heal through this platform and equipping them with tools to transform and rise above adversity, likening a pair of recycled jeans, which evolved into a hardy versatile fashion piece having gone through rigorous treatments.

It is the beginning of a movement that challenges modern day society to question the ethicality of fast fashion and to give meaning to existence by challenging people to live their authentic lives and achieve ultimate inner freedom. An awakening to a sustainable and authentic life that is not defined by prescribed social norms. Weaving in fabrics that are fluid like the movement of water into our creation, symbolizing the freedom of movement, freedom from exploitation and freedom of spirit.
